Pod vedením Dr. Bohumíra Plačka se zde buduje observatoř pro výzkum kosmického záření, s cílem realizovat a ověřovat nové detekční metody, na jejichž vývoji Dr. Plaček v minulosti spolupracoval. Další cílem je vybudování technického zázemí pro inovační výrobu solárních koncentrátorů. V současné době je tento technicky náročný projekt ve fázi výstavby.
